A walk in the Gardens meadows and woodland to explore the medicinal wild plants. With focus on wild plant identification we will explore botany and plant science through colour and taste giving you a practical and fun way into plant I.D. Learn how to sustainably harvest plants and how to use and prepare them into remedies.

Natural Beauty Care
In this popular practical workshop learn how to make all you need to care for your beauty using purely natural ingredients. Including blending detox herbal teas, how to make your own seaweed skin tonic, oat body scrubs and nourishing face cream, to suite your skin type, out of garden flowers. Discover which foods and spices make your skin glow. As a Medical Herbalist, Lara will share her knowledge of simple and effective natural remedies for problem skin, from chamomile bath bags for eczema to nettle tea blend for acne.

Traditionally here in Wales autumn is the time to prepare for winter. With the hedgerows overflowing with berries this course will explore the fantastic health giving properties of the autumn bounty. Discover how to use wild and culinary herbs and spices to help you and your family stay healthy through the cold winter months. Learn how to make rosehip and elderberry elixir to help fight flu, thyme and liquorice chest syrup and ginger muscle and joint rub to ease winter aches and pains and much more.

Welsh Herbal Heritage and the Physicians of Myddfai
Here in Wales our rich herbal heritage goes back to the Celts. This workshop will focus on the local medieval herbal Physicians of Myddfai and their connection with the magical legend of the Lady of the Lake. Explore the remedies of the Physicians of Myddfai and their relevance to medicine today. Make your own Physicians of Myddfai ointment and discover the science behind some old wise remedies and how to use them for good health. From onion cough syrup to a garlic poultice.

Design and make bespoke smellies out of herbs and spices, from ginger muscle rub to floral bath fizz for sensitive skin. Exploring the origin and traditions behind Christmas spices. Lara will share her top tips for a healthy, happy holiday from a delicious digestive tea to tips on avoiding a hangover!
