Every month we  host a Members’ coffee morning. These are informal, fun and interesting, providing our members with the opportunity to get to know the  various Garden departments, staff and volunteers a little better and provide our members with  a “behind the scenes” insight into the daily running of the Garden.

We are also organising coach trips to visit our reciprocal gardens, providing members with an opportunity to see other gardens they may not normally have the opportunity to visit.

All coffee mornings are ‘bookable’ events.   Coffee/Tea and biscuits £1 per head. To reserve a seat/place:  Members are requested to book in advance by calling Jane on  01558 667118 or emailing  jdown@gardenofwales.org.uk

It has now been decided to combine volunteers with members coffee mornings once a month, and obviously volunteers will not have to pay – we do ask members to make a small charge.

Monthly Members and Volunteers’ Coffee Mornings

During the year, the Garden hosts a series of Members and Volunteers’ coffee mornings; they are normally held on the third Friday of the month. These events give members the opportunity to hear about new projects at the Garden or get an update on current projects. Coffee mornings might also involve a guest speaker who specialises in a certain subject that is complementary to the Garden’s ethos, mission and objectives. We also arrange coach trips to partner gardens and various garden shows/events. Coffee mornings also provide an opportunity for members to meet other members, staff and volunteers. It is a very sociable occasion but also one where like-minds and horticultural/environmental interests come together. All coffee mornings are ‘bookable’ events. There is a small charge, £2 per head, which includes coffee/tea & biscuits. To reserve a place, members are requested to book in advance by telephoning Jane on: 01558 667118 or email: jane.down@gardenofwales.org.uk Forthcoming Events for 2013 – 2014
