Rob’s career has been divided between the private and public sectors. Having worked in financial services, manufacturing, media and music, Rob joined the International Division of the Welsh Development Agency in 1994. In 2003 he became Chief Executive of the newly formed Wales Trade International within the Assembly Government. In the post quango world he served as Head of Trade for International Business Wales and later took responsibility for establishing the Government’s media development organisation, Creative Business Wales.
Rob was seconded to the National Botanic Garden of Wales in March 2010 for a period in the marketing and communications team. He joined the Garden as Head of Development in January 2012 since which time he has been engaged in strategic development, planning and fund raising. He now leads the Garden’s drive on a number of major funding initiatives including the legacy campaign and a substantial bid focussed on restoration of the Regency landscape, recently re-submitted for HLF consideration.
