Robina Thomas works with recycled materials whenever possible and has much pleasure in creating something special from next to nothing.  Robina is primarily a textile artist that discovered different ways of creating books.

Crazy Quilting

Begin working on an 18″x18″ square suitable to make the front of a crazy patchwork cushion using your favourite scraps of material. You can bring your sewing machine or you can do the crazy patchwork by hand (All materials including a large variety of fabrics and threads will be provided for a small fee of £5). Knitting

with Judy Roberts Judy has been knitting since she was a child, and as an adult has learnt to spin.  Wendy is a prolific knitter always having several projects on the go.  She has run knitting courses at Llandeilo Adult Education Centre and currently runs a weekly informal knitting group in Llanarthne.

Learn to Knit

This is a beginners course for people who would love to learn to knit or need a refresher!  You will be introduced to a variety of yarns and their uses, learn how to cast on and off by various techniques, simple knitting stitches, read a pattern and stitching up. Botanic Knitting

Design and knit a sampler with a botanic theme.  Using several colours draw a design of a plant or flowers on graph paper, and using this as a pattern knit a sampler using intarsia or fair isle techniques. Beading may also be incorporated. Learn to Cable

Choose from a variety of cable patterns of varying degrees of intricacy to produce a sampler or start a scarf which may be completed at home.  Try your hand at simple cable or have a go at Celtic cable, grapes on a vine or heart cable.
