Brenin planedau – a chawl

The Swansea Astronomical Society is back at the National Botanic Garden on Friday November 18 with another Star Party.

Given clear skies, this will be an excellent opportunity to see Jupiter, king of the planets and its satellites, together with Uranus, the Andromeda Galaxy and a host of other interesting galactic phenomena.

But there will be plenty to do whatever the weather with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities including displays and laptop presentations. In the Marquee there is a telescope clinic, with help and advice being offered to beginners and/or anyone interested in taking up star gazing. Feel free to bring your own telescopes if you need help and/or advice.

Meanwhile, in the Theatre there will be a theatre presentation at 7.00 pm entitiled “The development of Telescopes and how to use them” and another at 8.00pm. entitled “Welcome to our Amazing World and Universe”

The Star Party runs from 6.30pm until 9.30pm and entry is £3 with under-16s free. Follow the signs to the Corporate Entrance. Refreshments – including the Garden’s fabulous home-made cawl – are available.
