RULES AND REGULATIONS COVERING THE COMPETITIONS IN THIS SCHEDULE

1. Vegetables judged in accordance with the National Vegetable Society Judges Guide; flowers in accordance with the Royal Horticultural Society

2. Entries must be submitted on the Official Entry Form by Saturday 6th September 2008

3. Entry fees: 20p per entry (excluding the Childrens Section)

4. All exhibits must be in place by 8.30.a.m on Saturday 13th September 2008. To accommodate exhibitors the marquee will be open from 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. on Friday 12th September 2008 and from 7am untill 8:30am on Sat 13th September

5. The Gardens shall not be responsible for damage or loss of exhibits during this event.

6. No exhibits shall be removed until Sunday 14th September 2008 at 4.30 p.m. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED

7. No persons shall be allowed in the Marquee during judging time Saturday 13th from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. (approx) except those officially engaged.

8. A Blue Rosette will be awarded for "Best Exhibit" in each section

8. Special prizes will be awarded: 1st – 3 points; 2nd – 2 points; 3rd – 1 point.

9. A cup will be awarded for the most points in each section. All cups must be returned to the NBGW 1 month before the show is to take place

10. Special prizes will be awarded: 1st (3 Points), 2nd (2 Points), 3rd (1 point)

11. All prize money will be paid out on Sunday 14th September 2008 in the marquee from 3pm

12. In the event of a tie the winner will be the exhibitor with the most first prizes.

13. Access to Marquees for those off-loading will be via the Corporate Entrance.

14. All craftwork classes are “open” – no Club or Society membership required.

15. All exhibits must be grown or made by the exhibitor (with the exception of the Floral Art Section).

16. Free Ticket entry will be available on site from 6.00 p.m. on Friday 12th September 2008.
