Garden stars on TV
The National Botanic Garden is the star of the show on BBC2’s Nature’s Calendar this week.
The programme – on Friday July 13 at 6.30pm and networked across the UK – will feature the Garden in all its summer finery.
The producer of the programme, Stuart Woodman said: “'Nature’s Calendar is the ultimate guide to the best places to see wildlife right across the UK and the National Botanic Garden of Wales didn’t disappoint.
“You know what I like about this place? The real diversity of what you can see and, besides all the exotic plants inside the glasshouse, you’ve got a great mix of all our native species.
“So, with over a hundred species of butterflies, thousands of wild flowers and even the odd grass snake it’s definitely well worth a visit this summer.
“I had a terrific time filming there and I hope to return soon.”
Friday’s Nature’s Calendar is presented by Sanjida O’Connell.
Nature’s Calendar - your summertime guide to watching wildlife around the UK – is on BBC2 at 6.30pm weekdays from Monday July 9. The main presented is Chris Packham.
