Garden goes live on TV
The popular Welsh-language magazine programmes Wedi 3 and Wedi 7 will be broadcasting from the National Botanic Garden of Wales this summer.
Filming starts on Monday (July 30) and carries on through all of August (till the 31st).
Wedi 3, Wedi 7 producer Catrin Evans said: “This is our third summer at the garden and once again we’re looking forward to broadcasting from the beautiful surroundings at Llanarthne.
“The gardens provide a fantastic natural backdrop for conversation and music, and where better to film lifestyle items on fashion, cookery and, of course, gardening,” said Catrin, of Llanelli-based production company Tinopolis.
“We’re keeping our fingers crossed for good weather so that we can be out and about around different parts of the garden. But, if the elements turn against us, we can always shelter in the unique settings of the Great Glasshouse and, for the first time, the new Tropical House.”
Head of marketing and communications at the Garden David Hardy said: “The programmes are now regular summer visitors to the Garden and we are delighted to host the programme makers again this year.
“It provides us with a wonderful chance to showcase the many and varied attractions here at the National Botanic Garden.”
The hour-long Wedi 3 is on S4C – both on terrestrial and digital - Mon-Fri from 3pm. Wedi 7 is on from 7pm Mon-thur
