We do not have fungi specific curriculum linked programmes but fungi play an important part in World in a Welshcake, Rocks and Soils and Waste and Recycling.

If you are interested in bringing your school to visit From Another Kingdom,  we are able to customise our set programmes to meet individual needs and cross-curricular dimensions. Let us know first by emailing Kay Bailey on kbailey@gardenofwales.org.uk or give us a ring on 01558 667150.

The education pages of the British Mycological Society’s (BMS) website has some wonderful  primary school resources.  They are packed with fantastic ideas of fungi-related activities that you can do at school or at home – have a look at the BMS website to see what might suit you.  We are in the process of translating these resources into the Welsh language –  these should be available from here in late March 2011.

If you’re an adult and would like to take a more active interest in fungi, you might be interested in some short courses we’re planning. We’re not sure what the demand will be so could you drop us a line to kbailey@gardenofwales.org.uk or ring 01558 667150 and let us know what you might be interested in (e.g. general knowledge of fungi, field identification skills, microscopic identification techniques, fungi folklore, particular groups of fungi, fungi habitats etc).
