Fed by drainage water from the Double Walled Garden, the Bog Garden never dries out. You’ll find a blend of Welsh and exotic water-loving plants here – from flag iris, flowering-rush and marsh marigold to canna and eupatorium. At the height of summer, this area becomes a magnet for glittering dragonflies and vivid damselflies. If you stand on the wooden boardwalk, look and listen out for toads, newts and pond skaters too – they love the shallow water here.
