Craft Fair is a gift
Would you like to own a genuine piece of Welsh-made hand-crafted treasure? Then beat a path to the National Botanic Garden of Wales in Llanarthne on Saturday and Sunday August 4-5 for the ‘Four Seasons’ Summer Craft Fair.
In the stunning surrounds of the Great Glasshouse, you’ll find a rich variety of stalls offering a captivating range of Welsh-made hand-crafted treasures from beautiful glassware, ceramics, wooden clocks and mirrors to bird tables, traditional teddy bears, children’s clothing, jewellery, heavenly-scented hand-made soaps and more. You’ll also get to see, and smell, the mediterranean plants of the Great Glasshouse in their summer glory.
Event organiser, Dawn Crisp said: “It’s wonderful to welcome local artisans to the Garden and allow them to show their beautiful products in the stunning backdrop of the Great Glasshouse”. She added: “Summer is the best time to come and visit our beautiful Garden. There’s so much to enjoy – dreamy lakeside walks, Tropical House, our fascinating Victorian pharmacy, busy bee hives, restored Double Walled Garden, nature reserve and lots more”.
Musical entertainment on the Saturday will be provided by Irish duo ‘Henry Marten’s Ghost’ and ‘The Meadows’ from Llandeilo will provide Celtic and classical music on Saturday and Sunday.
There will also be a Carmarthenshire cheese tasting session by Castell Howell Foods at the Gatehouse Café on Saturday; and there will be chance to visit Ghost Forest – the most important environmental art installation ever to come to Wales.
The Craft Fair is on from 10am until 6pm (last entry 5pm). For more information on all events see www.gardenofwales.org.uk, call 01558 667149 or email info@gardenofwales.org.uk
