Family Fun with Trees
A tree-mendous action-packed weekend lies ahead at the National Botanic Garden on August 18-19 with the Welsh Tree Festival, appealing to wood lovers, families and anyone who likes trees.
There’ll be lots of things to do and see including woodcraft demonstrations, tree-focused family activities, guided walks, a tropical Ghost Forest, tree planting and terrific tree trails. Woodcraft exhibitors and trade stands include Robert Sorby, Turners Retreat, Trend Power Tools, Charnwood, Mark and Lisa Raby, George Foweraker and many more. Among these, you’ll find stands selling furniture, timber flooring decking, fencing and chainsaw carving.
Celtic and classical musical entertainment will be provided by The Meadows from Llandeilo on Saturday and on Sunday the Clarsach Society will be playing the harp, with a chance for visitors to join in.
The Garden is open from 10am-6pm both days and the Tree Festival is free to all Garden visitors.
