Garden party is the event of the year
BBC Radio 4 Gardeners’ Question Time Summer Garden Party is the horticultural event of the year.
On Sunday June 29th , the party is at the National Botanic Garden of Wales – the very first time it has happened outside England.
As well as recordings of two editions of GQT, there will also be plenty of opportunities for you to meet your horti heroes and gardening gurus in a variety of venues on the day.
Why not listen to the wisdom of Bob Flowerdew in the Potting Shed or you could pick up tips on garden pests and diseases from Pippa Greenwood.
Peter Gibbs will tell us what to expect from this summer’s weather and you can hear Bunny Guinness talk about her fabulous new book ‘Highgrove’.
James Wong will be on hand to help inspire a ‘Homegrown Revolution’ and Matthew Wilson will be assessing this year’s must-have colours..
Long-time GQT host Eric Robson will be taking a Welsh Country Walk in search of the Greater Butterfly Orchid, while Matthew Biggs will be discussing ‘Gardening for Children’.
Other radio stars shining on this special day include: Toby Buckland, Chris Beardshaw, Alison Pringle and Carole Baxter.
In addition, there are walks and talks aplenty, as well as choirs performing all day in the Great Glasshouse a special Food Court and plant fair to ensure the event caters for all tastes.
