In charge of events at the Garden is David Hardy. He said: “It’s a pretty mouth-watering line-up over the bank holiday weekend and throughout the Easter holiday. We also have our ‘Garden Explorers’ offer where young visitors can grab a back-pack, select from a range of activities and then head off into the Garden and enjoy themselves.”
He added: “We will be very busy as the season cranks up with a wedding, wood-turning demonstrations a fabulous new show in the Gallery entitled New Sylva – celebrating a major new book about trees and forestry for the 21st century and our first Woodland Walk Weekend.”
The Woodland Walk Weekend is on April 26-27 and features two, expert-led walks in the Pont Felin Gat woods looking at wildlife and the ABC of wild flowers: anemones, bluebells and celandines. And if you go down to the woods that weekend you can be sure of lots of fun family activities, too.
* The Garden is open from 10am-6pm with plenty of free parking
