Hawks fly in

Black Mountains Falconry are back at the Garden on Saturday and Sunday August 11-12 promising two days of stunning flying displays.

Harris hawks, red-tailed buzzards and an eagle owl will take to the air as part of two daily set-piece shows, at 12 noon and 2pm, and there will be a chance for visitors to take up the gauntlet and try their hand at falconry themselves.

The Garden is open from 10am-6pm both days and the birds of prey display is free to all Garden visitors.

I came to the gardens on Saturday 12th August and saw the wonderful birds of prey and would like to know if any pictures are available of the participants who had the chance to have the bird land on their hand? I am very interested as my Mother and myself had that experience and would like a picture if at all possible.

We’re sorry Veronica – we didn’t have a photographer on hand that day. It was a good day though wasn’t it?
