Hello, Neighbour. Come on in!
The National Botanic Garden of Wales has declared Friday September 7, 2012, as “SA32 Day” which means free entry for anyone able to prove they live in that particular postcode area.
The “Meet the Neighbours” initiative will include key talks by Garden staff, behind-the-scenes tours and entertainment.
Head of Marketing, David Hardy said: “The idea is to try to really connect with those people living nearest the Garden and this is a way of achieving that. We have lined up a day-long schedule of talks, tours and other activities – including some that are not available to the general visitor.”
Some highlights of “SA32 Day” are: an ‘Under the Great Glasshouse’ tour; a ‘Meet the Director’ session, a ‘Wild Mushroom Hunt’, a ‘Walk in the Med’ and a ‘Ghost Tour’, as well as music and dancing.
To claim your free entry, please bring along your council tax bill and other, separate (preferably photo) I.D.
The Garden is open from 10am to 6pm. For more information, visit www.gardenofwales.org.uk email info@gardenfowales.org.uk or call 01558 667149.
