Many happy returns
Tourists are in for a treat at the National Botanic Garden of Wales this August with the launch of a special ‘Return Ticket’ that will allow free entry for a week.
Anyone buying a ticket to the Garden during August will be allowed back in FREE of charge for seven days after the visit.
Head of marketing David Hardy said: “We get a lot of feedback from visitors about how they weren’t able to get round to see all the different parts of the Garden on their visit.
“We do say ‘You won’t be able to see it all in a day’ but people from out of the area not familiar with the Garden are often caught out. So we thought this would be a good way of ensuring that, if they want to come back and see some more, they can – and for free.”
The Garden is spread across 600 acres when you add Waun Las National Nature Reserve and the magical wooded valley of Pont Felin Gât to the formal core of the attraction. There is also much to see, with recent additions including the fabulous “From Another Kingdom” exhibition about fungi, the new Green Technologies Trail around the Garden’s various sustainability exemplars, and an archaeological dig to uncover the remains of what we think might be a medieval mansion and garden. The summer also sees a packed programme of family fun activities and fascinating guided walks, with a focus on the plants, art and history of the Garden.
So it definitely makes sense to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the Garden and its many facets to the full.
The ‘Return Ticket’ will apply to all full price admission bought between August 1st and August 31st.

Tocyn nôl i’r Ardd
Mae gennym rodd arbennig i dwristiaid yng Ngardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru gydol fis Awst wrth i ni lansio cynllun y ‘Tocyn Dychwelyd’ a fydd yn caniatau mynediad yn rhad ac am ddim am wythnos.
Bydd unrhyw berson sy’n prynu tocyn i’r Ardd yn cael dychwelyd Yn Rhad Ac Am Ddim am saith niwrnod ar ôl yr ymweliad cyntaf.
Dywedodd y Pennaeth Marchnata, David Hardy: “Rydym yn derbyn cryn dipyn o adborth gan ymwelwyr ynghylch sut na lwyddon’ nhw i weld yr holl wahanol rannau o’r Ardd yn ystod eu hymweliad.
“Rydym ni’n dweud yn aml ‘”Nid yw diwrnod yn ddigon i weld y cyfan” ond yn aml iawn, ymwelwyr nad ydynt yn gyfarwydd â’r lle sydd ar golled. Felly, roeddem yn meddwl y byddai hyn yn ffordd o sicrhau bod yna gyfle iddyn’ nhw i ddychwelyd a gweld rhagor os ydynt yn dymuno – yn rhad ac am ddim.”
Mae’r ardd yn ymestyn dros 600 erw wrth gynnwys Gwarchodfa Natur Genedlaethol Waun Las, cwm coediog hyfryd Pont Felin Gât, a chalon yr atyniad. Mae llawer i’w weld hefyd, yn cynnwys elfennau newydd fel yr arddangosfa wych ar ffwng “O Deyrnas Arall”, Llwybr Technoldeg Werdd o gwmpas holl esiamplau’r Ardd o gyfrannu at gynaladwyedd, a chloddfa archaeolegol er mwyn datgelu’r hyn yr ydym yn tybio i fod yn blasdy a gardd canol oesol. Ar gyfer yr haf, mae yna raglen lawn o weithgareddau hwyliog i’r teulu, a theithiau tywysedig sy’n ffocysu ar blanhigion, celf a hanes yn yr Ardd.
Yn sicr, synnwyr cyffredin yw rhoi digon o amser i chi eich hunan i weld yr Ardd a’i holl atyniadau yn eu cyfanrwydd.
Bydd y cynllun ‘Tocyn Dychwelyd’ yn gymwys i bob tocyn mynediad pris llawn sy’n cael ei brynu rhwng Awst 1af ac Awst 31ain .
