Indulge yourself in festive Christmas treats at the National Botanic Garden’s popular Christmas Food Fair on December 15 & 16. The nation’s favourite garden is the venue for a celebration of local food and drink.
There is certainly something for everyone among the festive offerings in the Great Glasshouse, from goats’ cheese, pate, beautiful gift packs and liqueurs to longhorn beef, chutneys, Christmas brownies and cowboy pickles!
As well as a stunning array of stalls laden with tempting treats, there is also the attraction of Santa’s fun show in the Theatr Botanica and the work of the schools’ tree decorating competition and a captivating Gallery exhibition, entitled ‘Three Painters: Landscape Now’.
The popular ‘Carols in the Garden’ event takes place on the Sunday (December 16), 4pm-5.30pm with Maes yr Yrfa School brass band and Côr Dyffryn Tywi, conducted by Davina Harries-Davies. There will be mulled wine, hot turkey and cranberry baguettes, soup and mince pies. Admission to the Carols is free with admission to the Garden and Food Fair or £3 after 3.30pm.
