Transport of delight
Visitors will benefit from a successful fundraising campaign at the National Botanic Garden.
Donations collected by volunteers during the Garden’s free January have earned the Carmarthenshire attraction a brand new buggy.
Membership and volunteers co-ordinator, Jane Down is delighted at the news: “A lot of people worked very hard to raise this money and it’s fabulous to see such a good return for all that excellent effort.”
Jane has been instrumental in motivating members, volunteers and staff to contribute in various ways to the many fundraising activities at the Garden.
She said: “Whether it is our raffle, the annual plant sale, the second-hand bookshop or rattling tins in January, it really is all down to teamwork with everyone contributing what they can.”
The Garden is open from 10am-6pm. For more info, email info@gardenofwales.org.uk or call 01558 667149.
