Vote for the Garden

The National Botanic Garden has made it on to a shortlist of landmark attractions in the running to be crowned ‘National Treasure’.

The National Lottery has launched the campaign, which gives the people of Wales the chance to choose their favourite face and perfect place.

The famous faces vying for the iconic status of ‘National Treasure’ are  Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Ruth Jones, Rob Brydon and Sir Anthony Hopkins. With 12 projects and five celebrities to choose from, the competition will be fierce.

Other Welsh landmarks on the short-list include Cardiff Castle, Galeri Caernarfon, Great Orme Tramway (Llandudno), Millennium Coastal Park (Llanelli), and the Millennium Stadium (Cardiff). A winning face and place for Wales, along with those from Scotland, England and Northern Ireland, will be announced from the full list of 68 later this year.
