Liminality by Benjamin Storch
The Upper Broadwalk has a new temporary artwork until mid May 2011.
‘Liminality’ has been created by Llanbrynmair based artist Benjamin Storch. Made with hammer & press-formed Corten steel, the term liminality describes a state of being on a threshold, which is associated with transition, transformation, openness, but also uncertainty in facing the ‘unknown’.
The sculpture was originally created for a joint exhibition of the same title at Salisbury Cathedral last autumn. Its making was kindly supported by the Arts Council of Wales and it can be purchased for £23000.
